4th grade social studies classes have been hard at work on their service learning projects! They were tasked with hosting a penny drive to raise money for our local One Room Schoolhouse, and they partnered with me during flex media to design, coordinate, and execute video productions to raise awareness of their project.
Below are videos created by Ms. M. Morris's, Ms. Flores's, and Ms. Pirchio's classes. They did all the work themselves, from storyboarding to costumes to songwriting to videotaping to editing. Great work, wizards!

Windy Hill staff members have been busy working on a special project to help support our Wizardly World of Reading! All month, our school is listening to the classic book Charlotte's Web read aloud chapter by chapter. We hope that you love the story and enjoy listening to all the different readers!
Here are the first two chapters, which have already aired on WIZ TV:
Wow! Our 2nd graders recently read The Monsters' Monster, by Patrick McDonnell, and created their own monstrous creations inspired by the book. They did such a great job that the author himself noticed our pictures on Twitter and reached out to interview us for their website!
You can see our interview and some photos here:
I'm very proud of our creative students, and their artistic skills have earned us a new copy of one of McDonnell's other books for our collection!
